They are the creatures whose very existence is denied by scholars and academics. They are heard in the rustling of leaves and seen in the inexplicable movements of a tree branch. They are the focus of urban legends and folktales; the creatures spoken of beside campfires in the dead of the night. Their names echo throughout time in the collective consciousness of the American people: Bigfoot, the Mothman, the Jersey Devil, and many more. Do they exist or are they merely the inventions our own elemental fears of the night and the dark. By seeking out an encounter with these creatures we hope to learn if the night conceals nothing more than the creations of our own mind, or in fact there are creatures so bizarre and terrifying that only the foolish would venture into the woods alone at night.
